Pineapple, starfruit and carrot coolers Recipe

This is a healthy and quick pick-me-up, especially if you have a juicer. The chilli and ginger add a peppery aroma and bite to the ripe, floral notes of the pineapple. I would recommend this drink on a winter’s morning or when you feel a cold coming on.

Ingredients :

    • 350 g (2 cups) fresh ripe pineapple slices
    • 1 large starfruit or 2 green apples, sliced
    • 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 2 drops Tabasco sauce or 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger juice
    • 4 thin slices of starfruit, to garnish

Method :

Chill the fruit and carrot, then juice separately in a juicer. Combine all the juices in a pitcher, add the lime juice and honey, and mix until well blended. Stir in the Tabasco sauce or ginger juice with a swizzle stick. Pour into individual glasses, garnish with the starfruit slices and serve at once.
